Yesterday afternoon and early evening, and a bit this afternoon, I took advantage of the #CQWW to do lots of QSOs in phone, mainly on 10m. The aim wasn't to go fast, but to have fun and make contact with rare places you hardly ever hear. Just 166 QSOs, without breaking out the heavy artillery: K3, 100w EFHW. I'll send the log tomorrow anyway 😀

It's not just the radio... Today is the harvest of my little apple tree in the garden and it has given a lot. They have received no treatment, 100% natural. I'm going to give some to the neighbors and think about what to do with the rest. It's a good thing I've got an Android phone, otherwise it's one more apple 😅

Very quick improvised portable radio outing this afternoon, just a single QSO on 15m with 4X6HU. Only my ft818 barefoot and an EFHW. 5 minutes to set up, 5 minutes to make this QSO, make this video right after and another 5 minutes to put everything away. I cheated a bit because the antenna wire has been installed on trees there for several years. 😀

HB9HUW (IZ3YWT) lives like me in Le Locle, 8km from La Chaux-de-Fonds. He works in a watch factory at the entrance to #LaChauxDeFonds, which was badly damaged by yesterday's #storm. He was lucky, as he was on vacation in Croatia. But last night there, his car was damaged by hail.

This morning, looking at my antennas and the clean garden, I'm thinking how lucky I was that yesterday's storm didn't come this way, but it really wasn't far away. #storm #lachauxdefonds
